Built at the end of the eighteenth century, Villa Erba in Cernobbio is famous as the
former family home of Luchino Visconti, nephew of Carlo Erba, founder of one of the most
prestigious pharmaceutical company of Milan. In 1986 the Visconti family gave the villa to the community, which made it the congressional center that it is now.
The space design was carried out by the architect Mario Bellini, who took inspiration from the greenhouses of the aristocratic homes on Lake Como. The steel-and-crystal exhibition center makes the context refined and elegant, uniting the historical patrimony of the old villa and the age-old park in a suggestive picture of light modernity.
Spazio Villa Erba can host events with more than 5000 guests and has the most advanced technologies used in congresses. It has an indoor exhibition area of approximately 11,000 square meters, which is used for stands, conference rooms and lounge areas.
Villa Erba is only 5 km away from Como and 30 minutes from Milan and is also in the heart of a rich network of Welcome Centers. This makes Villa Erba a modern and unique structure, which can combine class, tradition, luxury with high standard services.
